I made a rack to hold my paddleboard and surfboards. It hangs from our garage ceiling. I was going to build it from water pipe, but when I discovered this product at , the choice was clear. I built the whole thing in about four hours. (This includes my trip to , stopping by a pool supply store for some Fun Noodles, and the time to measure, drill and erect the whole assembly.) When I acquire more boards, I can easily add a second tier. By the way, it’s a very firm structure, and if properly anchored to roof trusses, could easily hold way more weight.

Nice dose the job well made. The pipe was my problem that went with it, I had to cut and weld it o boy it would not take a weld to put it nicely its poor metal. black iron is much easer to weld and work with. If needed againI would go black iron.
thanks Donald

Steel Tek allowed me to build a custom loft cover lifter and loft frame for my wife’s custom built bamboo 10′ x 8′ loft. I built this loft for my wife’s sunbathing and now it’s protected from the rain in the winter.

Easy to work with, and Lowe’s made free cuts on the longer pipe to my needs, which saved me money and help add to the custom look I was going for.

Did just what I needed them to do

Does what it’s designed to do but I gave it 4 stars because the tubing that goes into it is very loose and wish the fit was better so it didn’t rely on the set screws as much to keep everything together.

I built an 32″ x 80″ desk. The flanges and pipes were easy to work with. I cut the pipes to size using a jigsaw, but a hacksaw would work as well. Once all the screws are tightened properly, this provided a rock solid base for the desk. At first, it may seem like it will not be sturdy, but screws need to be fully tightened at all connections, then it’s extremely sturdy. It supports a 1.5″ top, which at that size weighs a decent amount. [I added reviews to all the pipes and fittings I used.]

not enough base to hold sail.

Used the brackets and pipe to build a hanger for a car top carrier. The brackets and pipe were heavy duty, simple to use and flexible since you can cut the pipe to any length.
