SharkBite push-to-connect slip fittings are the fastest way to repair a burst pipe or leak on copper and CPVC pipe. The slip fitting allows up to 2 inches of damaged pipe to be removed and repaired. Simply insert the slip coupling onto the pipe and using the SharkBite demount clip, slip the fitting back onto the other end of the pipe, completing the connection. The slip coupling is a great item to have handy for emergency or freeze repairs. No soldering or glue is required. Changes can easily be made by rotating the fitting after installation. Removing the fitting is just as fast using a disconnect tool so fittings can be easily changed or reused. Designed with stainless steel gripping teeth for a secure connection, a chlorine-resistant O-ring for a long-lasting seal, and backed by a 25-year warranty.

Cut my CPVC pipe and the connection leaked so I tried removing the coupling with the release tool. No matter how I tried, it wouldn’t release so I ended up cutting the piping and using the old and true method of glueing a regular coupling and piping. This resulted in not having hot water for a section of my home for 24 hours.
I have used sharkbite connectors in the past and they have been easy to remove and never leaked.

Had to cut and solder the pipes in the mean time and returned them to but they would not refund the 42 dollars in freight charges.

I hate plumbing and this made the project super easy. Broken Pek pipe and it made a 2 hour project to only a 2 minute job. Turn water off, cut off pipe where holes were, insert Snakebite, and leak was fixed. I probably spent more time typing this than I did on the water leak. Will definitely use again in the future. Can use on pek, and copper at same time if needed.

I installed this fitting on a 40gal. electric water heater with two 4500 watt elements. I used it on the HOT pipe leading out. I installed it 20 inches up from the tank. Says rated for 200 degrees, I’m set at 125 on both elements, WORKS FREAKING GREAT !!!! I used them three years ago on cold side pipe, still like new working GREAT !!! Best product ever for easy fixes. Thank You Sharkbite for great product !!!

this one didn’t last, separated after one year.
Glad it was not in the wall.

Had pin hole leak in copper 3/4″ water line in crawl space. Great product when you do not want to solder copper water pipe, or access is limited. Clean pipe, cut out bad section (IF < 1/2"), install slip joint, done. Have used in past and will continue to use.

Trided to use it to fix pin hole section of pipe, but because of pin holes the whole section is weaker and would not seal because too soft. This might work on other applications but not great on pin hole section of pipes

I had a broken water pipe under a friends home. I purchased this gator bite to do the repair and my friend said it beat paying a couple hundred bucks to call a plumber out.

Shark Bites are the best. Eliminates the need to sweat pipe. Outstanding!

Accidently drilled a hole in a hot water line. Simple instructions to follow and the pipe is repaired in less than 30 minutes!
Great product

The coupler would not slip along a properly prepared copper pipe. Once it was moved about an inch onto the pipe the coupler bound in place and would not move in either direction. The coupler had to be cut off.

Im also glad I checked website cause I didn’t know about this SharkBite connect. It did what it says it will do. Price was a little high but it worked! Thanks r

SharkBite are more expensive but super easy and effective. At the store I bought a ball valve shutoff along with the push to connect fitting. No draining the line, just measure, ensure you have a clean edge and install. I was done in 20 minutes.

I bought 2 of these when I moved my water softener. One worked like a charm! While testing the fix, I learned that one was not pushed in hard enough. Once that problem was corrected, all went well. Sure beats sweat soldering!

Was impressed with the quality of this SharkBite fitting. Had to replace TPF valve on my water heater. The relief pipe was soldered in place and extended over to a drain, with several 90 degree bends. Since I’ve never work with copper pipe, and don’t have tools to solder. I went with this option. Cut the pipe up towards the TPF valve, removed it, and used the SharkBite fitting to put it back together. Perfect!

Shark bites are the best. A little pricey. But make a great union for water heaters….

worked great. A bit tough to push back even with adapter tool, had to ‘tap’ with a hammer, but did as advertised. Worth the extra cost and low risk versus other solutions.

Pushed the fitting on and it stopped within an inch. Could not push in any further or release the coupling. Had to cut the fitting out and repair in a different manor. I am in the trades.
