Don’t waste your money, this thing crinkles up to where no water or very little water comes out, garbage

Not very flexible, keeps collapsing on itself so it doesn’t stay open.

It has holes on both end….remarkable

I purchased a section of this type hose 4 years ago, i have a wash tub that has to be located away from the drain it runs across the floor and does a excellent job of getting a small amount of water to the floor drain, it lasted 4 years with people walking on it and things being rooled across it with hand trucks, this section is a heavier material so i should think it will last longer.

This isn’t really a hose. It’s more like a stiff cheap plastic sleeve. First use was a royal pain as I had to constantly fight it to keep it open and keep it from kinking. A slightly different plastic would’ve made a world of difference. I strongly recommend folding it in half the opposite way before your first use (open it up and flatten it so the old folds are pushed together, making two new folds).

three years ago I put this on a 1 1/2 smooth PVC end and it flattened out nicely. I was worried that crease would leak but it flattened out under the 2″ worm gear clamp I used. Had to replace a cracked 90 degree elbow, new joints and pipe, that wasn’t leaking, the plastic hose would not seal around the PVC. Tried 4 times to stop the water coming out the hose end and yes it’s a downhill run when discharging. Will go elsewhere now to purchase a more plyable hose.

tested the hose at 25psi air and about 76degF and it split at the crease within about 30 seconds. This should only be used as drain hose without any flow restriction like bends or valves.

Love it

The flat hosepipe remained stuck together despite various attempts to open it and allow passage of water. As such, it was not fit for purpose.

Having worked with flexible PVC hose in multiple applications, the #1 thing to do the first time out is take an extra 5 minutes & “de-flat” the hose—meaning unroll it (best to have one end held down by something heavy like a sofa leg) and then “pop” open the far and & squeeze all the way back — so that the hose becomes unstuck/un-flat. This will really, really save both your pump & prevent kinks. Hose itself is pretty durable–yeah if yank it get it caught it might split, but overall it is very solid & for occasional use it works well. I’m on season four of 5-6x a year use, including very cold, and it hasn’t split.

Product is packaged flat and could not separate, could not get water from the sump pump the discharge tubing ended up in the trash.

I used this hose to discharge seal coat out of a bulk tank onto the driveway. The hose would end up splitting at the flattened sides of the hose. It would then have a leak and I would have seal coat all over. I would not buy this hose again unless it was my only option. I will look for a different hose when need it….

I understand why this is called a “flat discharge hose”. But I thought the point was that it was not supposed to STAY flat when connected to water!
This hose is so sticky that it is very hard to get it to form into a round “hose” shape–with potentially dire consequences. If the hose fails to “inflate” when attached to a source of water, I can tell you from experience that it can cause some unfortunate flooding. I know this is a cheapo made-in-china product, but you’d think that something that’s sole purpose is to discharge fluids would would do so! I know, I probably should have recognized the problem ahead of time and spent the 15 minutes necessary to massage each inch of the 30 foot hose so as to prevent the problem, but perhaps the company should spend a little bit of time anticipating the fact that a warning might be appreciated.
Not impressed…

Straight as an arrow run, and it’s such stiff worthless plastic junk that it wouldnt even drain a hot tub, the stiffness puts up so much friction loss it won’t flow at all. Pretty much just a waste of time and money, shame on Lowe’s for selling this trash and on the mfr who absolutely knew they were wasting our time.

Too fragile

This hose is ok but isn’t commercial grade I used the pipe on a job and it heals up

This brand seemed to hold up and was durable to complete the job.

I got 4 of these. unfortunately soon as water started flowing through it they began to split and water sprayed every. they are much thinner than I thought.

Used this and a sump pump to drain a 1000gal above aground pool. I ran the hose over my back wall into a culvert. My cinderblock wall had already destroyed a couple more pliable/softer hoses, and while this hose was scratched, it didn’t leak a bit.
I will say that because it’s on the stiff side, it kinked several times and I had to get creative with some river rock to keep the gradual bends the hose needed to keep from getting kinked.

Too many Klinks in it.
