Works well!!!

Has two rubber o-rings that are supposed to seal when extended, they don’t!

I bought this to replace a coupling between my pool pump and filter. Installation was great, because it easily was adjustable to the length and angels that I needed. However, when I turned on the pump, the coupling attempted to expand to its full length. I was able to use it just fine by clamping it securely after it was installed. I’m certain that under lower pressure situations that it would not exhibit this behavior. It was a little overwhelmed by a 1 1/2 HP pump.

I have used many of these for years, never had leaks. Easy to install. Worth the extra $.

These have been used a number of times when making repairs to buried irrigation lines at our plant nursery. easy to use with consistent quality. One end already has the coupler molded in

Part fit perfectly and was easy to install

Installed this 2″ repair coupling according to instructions. A small continuous drip leakage at the O-ring joint occurred as soon as the line was pressurized. Very frustrating. I strongly recommend against this expensive and non-functional product.

leaked after installing into 2 inch water supply line to house, had to cut out and made a different repair with other fittings, took part back to local Palestine TX store , manager would not return my money, she says they dont take back after it is installed , i told her it leaked and is defective DO NOT BUY , JUNK

I accidentally broken a 3/4″ underground irrigation pipe when digging a hole for a plant. This coupling allowed me to quickly fix the broken pipe. I only had to expose about 1′ of the pipe to cut out a piece of the old pipe and insert this coupling. There was minimal need to flex the existing pipe to insert the coupling. The fact the the coupling telescopes to contract to fit it in between the two cut ends and then expands to make the connection is ingenious. This was much easier to use than the standard union coupling. All one needs is the appropriate PVC glue. I highly recommend using this product for similar problems.

Staple to fixing a water well. When you just need that extra bit,….bam! This is an essential go to.

I have bought a few of these to use in repairing lines. They are good but my local plumbing supply store, H&S sells better ones for $3 or more less

Quality easy to use makes for quick repairs.

These inline, sliding couplings are ABSOLUTELY GREAT! If you do any PVC landscape irrigation installation or repairs, these will save you LOTS of time and effort! They are a BEST KEPT SECRET!!
FYI, you can YouTube how these work!
If you’ve never used them, that will help you get the job done!
In addition to this ‘sliding coupling’, you will also need a hacksaw or pvc pipe cutter, one ‘double female’ pvc fitting, and pvc glue to make this work.
GOOD LUCK!

Well I failed to check the internal guts of the slip fix. Upon primer and gluing into place of the break, and later a 6 hour cure/dry time, the unit was leaking. No instructions with the unit, just Youtube. But after I removed the unit I discovered that the extension tube was missing one of the o-rings, should have been two. Thus a leak.

Recently had to fix a leaking coupling on an old system with 2″ PVC. I didn’t want to dig a very long hole to offset the pipe in order to use a simple sleeve. This one has a long expansion joint, allowing one to cut out a section, separate the device, glue the ends, and then slide the expansion joint back out and connect the two sections with a threaded connection. I would suggest marking the expansion section with a sharpie (min and max expansion) and making sure you only cut what you need. Remember that once you go gluing these parts to the existing system, the parts will slide away from each other- so don’t cut the pipe at the maximum distance the expansion allows.
After gluing I ran the system for a day to verify no leaks- glad to have that problem taken care of.

Installed only to gave it leak, removed and found the gasket where to two halves are screwed together was missing. I checked it was tight before installing. I won’t be using another. If you buy one, take it apart and make sure the gasket is in there.

Installed and it immediately leaked around the sliding joint. Around 60 PSI, so it is no where near it’s listed operating range. I would not recommend.

Had a water main to the house spring a big leak. It was a mixture of metal piping to plastic (Sched 40).
Was worried how difficult it was going to be to fix it, since there was no flex in the line. Found this coupler at . It was a piece of cake to install. Absolutely a life saver on a cold January evening with a house full of kids who needed water.

I bought this connection for my 1 1/4 PVC water line. After following the correct procedures for installing it, I waited 1 hour, turn on the water and it began to leak. I took it back to and got my refund.
I then went on YouTube and found this guy who made this connection soooooo much easier. You have to watch him, I did and it really works, just remove the stop inside the PVC coupling. Watch his YouTube video and save yourself some money and get the assurance the pipe won’t leak anymore.
Its called ” EASILY Repairing Broken PVC Pipes(Least Amount Of Digging”

Thanks and good luck,

Very easy to use and effective for joining pieces.

Installed properly, leaks at o-rings under normal household water pressure. A complete waste of time and money. Now have to cut in and replace this part of the line at extra time and expense.

Bought two of these to repair my sprinkler line; had used a similar tool to fix my line in the past that had worked great. Put both of these in and both leak in the middle of the product where the pipe slides out. Absolute junk and waste of time and money. Now going to be more expensive to re-repair the faulty areas. Don’t bother with this garbage.

This really works for a PVC repair in a tight space.

If you have ever had to repair and underground PVC break, this is a must. It saves so much time because you dont have to make the hole large enough to pull up each side in order to install a coupling. This allows you to simply cut the line with about a 9-10 inch gap, install one end, apply cement on the remaining end, and slide it on!

Had a remove and replace a valve. Just what I needed for my repair to the irrigation line. Very useful.
