Union allows for quick disconnect and re-connect of lines. I use them with all sump pump installations to let me quickly be able to remove the pump for any repairs or replacement. Good quality at a fair price.

Terrible! The first one cracked upon installation at the seam they are molded from. the second one cracked under water pressure and flooded my laundry room causing extensive wall damage. They leaked with teflon tape on the threads so I tried pipe dope made for plastic and metal and they still cracked. I finally gave up and installed galvanized unions which solved the problem. Cheap junk do not buy!

I got this to repair my pool plumbing. I wanted a threaded connector as opposed to a slide in connection. The air leak that was present at the joint is now corrected.

I created misters for our pool. This $8 part saved me thousands of dollars that it would have cost to install a pool cooler. Not to mention, the increased electricity bills from a cooling system. The union slip x slip part enabled me to attach the misters I made to the pool return jets.

The 4 degree weather froze a 45 degree elbow that drained the pool. Had to remove all piping & start all over. The union was necessary for the replumb and worked like it was suppose to. The problem I had with it was the price which I thought was about 2 times too much but I guess that because it isn’t used all the time and not much demand so a higher price. So if you need it you pay the price.

Using this style of union that has thread ends and get a sprinkler back syphon valve with threads will made replacement of valve easy since it will not have to be cutout like a glue in one. Have never had to redo my manifold to my system using these unions.

I got this for plumbing in a new well/sprinkler pump.
I wasn’t sure if the well was good so I wanted to be able to disconnect the pump quickly without having to cut any pipe to do so.
I specifically wanted a thread/thread union so I could reuse it if necessary.
The union installed easily,..always use Teflon tape or other assembly aid with threaded PVC fittings as they can easily seize and gall, ruining the joint.
The pump is in service and the union maintains the (vacuum) seal with only hand tightening.
I did do some work on the plumbing two days after I installed the pump and the union was invaluable for quickly and easily disconnecting and reconnecting the pump.

I purchased this union to repair my well pipe for my sprinkler system. Product is structurally sound and has an O-ring between the two mating surfaces to prevent leaking. This union prevents me from cutting my well pipe if I need to disconnect to well for future cleaning. Easy to install and doesn’t leak.

As a licensed professional water well driller and pump installer, I have installed many, many of these unions with never a problem. The threaded will interchange with the slip, which makes things so much easier at times. When in doubt, install a union.

This connector stopped the major leak but always dripped. Perhaps it would be good in a cleaner environment but I ended up replacing it.

I used this to swivel a 2″ output hose above a 5hp pump motor. The union has a healthy rubber gasket which seals perfectly after rotating the hose, thus ensuring the pump pulls from the pond rather than air leaks above the intake pump. Durable, high quality PVC. Buy it!

They didn’t have the quantity I needed so I had to go else where. The other couplings I purchased were slightly larger, easier to tighten and the pvc pipes fit without threading. But they do the job.

Luckily for me the staff at helped me with this union. Previous part was glued. I like this to be able to repair or replace my irrigation pump later on.
