This 3/4 inch coupler is great for Connecting Pex to Pex piping, but if you are trying to repair the old polypropylene pipe to new Pex it will NOT work. I highly recommend this along with the crimping tool and crimp rings for newer pipe repairs. Sharkbite makes it simple.

Theses brass couplers are better for the harsh conditions . I’ve had the plastic one’s snap in half in the cold during the installation
