Simply insert the pipe and the teeth bite down and grip tight, while a specially formulated O-ring compresses to create a watertight seal. Changes can easily be made by rotating the fitting after installation. Removing the fitting is just as fast using a disconnect tool so fittings and valves can be easily changed or reused. Designed with stainless steel gripping teeth for a secure connection, chlorine-resistant O-ring for a long-lasting seal and backed by a 25-year warranty.

I used this to connect 1″ copper to 1″ pex, easy to install, just push it on. No leaks!
Once installed you can move it around to the best position. Kind of expensive compared to sweat joint copper but worth every penny in my opinion.

This 1″ sharkbite fitting worked great. It was very easy to use and didn’t leak. It is too bad they are so expensive or I would use them more often. 4 Stars because of the price.

It should be a Nobel Prize whoever invented it. I could rotate pipe 360 degrees after fitting installation.

Can be difficult to get the pipe seated in a tight position but works well when seated
