SharkBite push-to-connect fittings are the fastest way to connect PEX, copper, CPVC, PE-RT, or HDPE pipe in any combination. No soldering, clamps, unions, glue, or special tools required. Simply insert the pipe and the teeth bite down and grip tight, while a specially formulated O-ring compresses to create a watertight seal. Changes can easily be made by rotating the fitting after installation. Removing the fitting is just as fast using a disconnect tool so fittings and valves can be easily changed or reused. Designed with stainless steel gripping teeth for a secure connection, chlorine-resistant O-ring for a long-lasting seal and backed by a 25-year warranty.

I was worried about connecting pipes with shark bites. I have to say that my worries are gone. They’re more expensive but the ease of use and the ability of fixing your connection if set wrong make them totally worth it!

This 1”x1”x 3/4” tee is exactly what I needed. Connecting 1” pex to 3/4” cpvc was very easy and leak free. These fittings are extremely easy to work with. No special tools needed for assembly

Works well on underground if you use the PEX tape to cover the ends when installing it. Used it for the Hydrant I installed on my main water line coming from city water to house in Eureka Utah, where temperatures see below 0 in winter. Used the 1/2″ PEX to connect the hydrant to the water line. Never leaked and worked will, made a good PEE gravel drain under the Hydrant before I buried it.
