SharkBite push-to-connect fittings are the fastest way to connect PEX, copper, CPVC, PE-RT, or HDPE pipe in any combination. No soldering, clamps, unions, glue, or special tools required. Simply insert the pipe and the teeth bite down and grip tight, while a specially formulated O-ring compresses to create a watertight seal. Changes can easily be made by rotating the fitting after installation. Removing the fitting is just as fast using a disconnect tool so fittings and valves can be easily changed or reused. Designed with stainless steel gripping teeth for a secure connection, chlorine-resistant O-ring for a long-lasting seal and backed by a 25-year warranty.

Super simple to cut the line and slide on. I recommend watching the video so you understand how to ensure the plastic sleeve on the inside needs to be extended out before sliding the tube in and I recommend having the beveled hose trimmer to ensure a clean tight fit.

Perfect connector when connecting copper pipe to Pex. One thing I would like to mention is that you should thoroughly clean the copper pipe before connecting. I took a stripe of sandpaper to clean my pipe.

The Shark-Bites are excellent addition to any plumbing job that needs to be done. Dislike is that it work so well that in order to disconnect it takes a lot of work with the C disconnector. It takes practice to master to disconnect.

There’s really not a lot I can say about the Shark Bite reducer coupling, other than I’m very disappointed in either or Shark Bite. I wanted to try this in the relatively new EvoPEX line because it was going to be used in an indoor application, but either doesn’t stock it in my local store, or Shark Bite doesn’t make it. Technically, if there are larger push-to-connect Tee fittings and reducer couplings in larger diameters, smaller diameters and water pressure shouldn’t be an issue. Right? Another thing, and this has bothered me for a long time now, is why doesn’t or Shark Bite offer a food-grade lubricant for sale? If it’s used on the internal O-ring inside the fitting to ensure a waterproof seal, why not sell it? I’m not suggesting indefinite use of old push-to-connect fittings (aka push-to-fit fittings in the earlier days). I think the documentation stated that the Shark Bite brass push-to-connect fitting could only be reused 4 times due to the O-ring lubricant. So, you have to toss a perfectly good fitting if there’s a problem during the test fitting? My first PEX cutter couldn’t cut straight, and sometimes simple mistakes do happen. Other than the lubricant, I have no issue with these fittings, and I had one freeze solid due to a sudden failure of a heat trace/cable/tape in an unconditioned crawlspace. I’m as firm a believer in these fittings as the hold that they have on the pipes themselves.

This is your basic push to connect SharkBite fitting; works well. I have found the SharkBite fittings pretty difficult to remove even with the C-tool.

They’re fast, the work and it’s so much better than trying to sweat copper.

I am glad I finally discovered Sharkbite plumbing connectors. In the past I thought they were way over priced. When faced with repairing a leak in a hole in the yard, I discovered that these little babies are a life saver. I have the leak repair in no time compared to the other alternatives. I connected a 1″ copper pipe to 3/4″ cpvc in a jiffy with this adapter. I had the hole filled back in and was eating lunch by noon!

This is a press-on fitting. It, you know, presses on. It works with copper or PEX and no doubt some other stuff too. I used it to link 1″ copper to 3/4″ PEX. It works pretty well – you press one side of it onto the copper pipe and then press the PEX into the other side.
Horribly expensive given it’s little more than a bit of brass but it certainly does the job and makes plumbing easy.

These lil guys ring the death knell for over priced, unscrupulous plumbers. Push them right onto the end of a piece of pex and you’re done! Makes plumbing or replacing pipes so easy it will save you thousands in plumbers bills.

They push on way to hard, found out when using copper you really need to remove the white insert it has not real use this should be included in the package, and it’s really hard to remove even with the tool.

Works well to connect two Per Pipes together, make sure you push it all the way in by marking the PEX pipe before inserting to make sure you have it all the way, then use the clear PEX Tape to cover the ends well to protect from water or dirt or debris going into the ends of the connection and rusting it out or it will fail within a year. It has a 25 year warranty life if done right.

The sharkbite couplings make water tight connections every time. Just push on.
