We had leaking copper pipe in our water line into our house which also supplied the water to our hot water heat. These are easy to fit to old copper pipe and make identifying cold lines obvious at a glance. I will surely use them again when I need repair a leaking water line.

Someone once told me that “Hind site is always 20/20!” Well it was true.
Uncoiling and running both hot and cold PEX lines through the center of the house to replace old 3/4″ copper pipes was “Fun”. Fortunately I had looked on the internet and found several hints. I ended up building temporary hangers, perhaps should have purchased 10′ sections.
And of course we all know 3/4″ CU pipe ID is 3/4″ and ID of PEX around .681″ little more than 1/2″ID!
Now for the connectors T’s, Elbows etc, the need for “T’s” and such drop the size down even more to a little over 3/8″!
Learning experience to say the least and I haven’t even started! Read and understand before diving into the water – LOL!

Easily cuts and bends well to make tight corners. Cleans up nicely and works well with crimping too.

Got this for a compressed air line in my garage, after using it for water in my basement remodel project. This was the most cost-effective option. Read several reviews/videos about using pex for compressed air. It works fine. I used it with stainless pinch rings on sharkbite fittings with a $30 crimp tool. Where possible I used the 90 degree bend radius brackets instead of elbows.
The only drawback to pex is trying to straighten it out… Plan on using a lot of pipe clamps… 3/4″ is pretty stiff, and it will never go perfectly straight if that’s what you’re looking for. It was tough getting it into the 90 degree brackets. But straight enough for a workshop.

It’s pex-b, what more is there to say. Meets or exceeds all the applications appropriate for this product.

It did the job

Exactly what I needed

PEX b pipe comes in 3 colors and in 10 foot sections for those who don’t have a trailer or truck. You can use some metal elbow brackets and some warm water to shape the pipe and eliminate using brass elbows where a 90 degree turn is needed. Less crimps, less chance for leaks.

As described it’s pipe stupid

This crimp is much better than the shark bite, which is not good for underground use. It failed within a year, I am hoping this will work, with the plastic wrap and tape covering.

Had read about how easy it is to use PEX pipe when adding new plumbing fixtures so decided to try it. Really wanted PEX-A which is supposed to be a bit easier to bend but this (PEX-B) is all that was available. It’s definitely stiff material and I had to wrestle with it for a while to get as much of the “curliness” out of it as I could. It never really straightened out but at least I got it so I could work with it. Getting it to bend into a 90° turn (using a metal “elbow” made for PEX) was a bit of a struggle and probably could have been made easier if I had been able to heat the pipe up a little. I don’t have a PVC cutter so I used a garden lopper to cut it to length, and it worked surprisingly well with no rough edges or distortion in the pipe. I haven’t yet connected the pipe to any SharkBite fittings so will report back after I do that. I hope it’s as easy as I’m told.

This PEX piping is the go to for running any water lines in anything we do. The 3/4 inch bulk (100 ft) is great for making long runs of continuous line, and very easy to make connections to using the PEX tools. Blue is great for distinguishing cold water if that matters!

Well. Not much to say about this. It is a stick of PEX. My experience they ask? I bought it to plumb a room. Just tickled to death about plumbing… I mean seriously, it’s just a stick of PEX. Not much to write.
