SharkBite Max push-to-connect fittings allow you make pipe connections with half the insertion effort while withstanding double the burst pressure. Featuring a newly designed stainless-steel retainer, SharkBite Max delivers additional strength and durability while providing a 250-psi pressure rating. The re-engineered body allows you to insert the pipe using less effort and doesn’t require a PEX tube liner. No soldering, clamps, unions, glue, or special tools are required for installation. They are the fastest way to connect PEX, copper, CPVC, PE-RT and HDPE pipe. The fitting can be rotated after installation for quick adjustments, and removing the fitting is just as fast with a disconnect tool, allowing fittings and valves to be changed or reused. (SharkBite push-to-connect fittings are the fastest when compared to other conventual plumbing methods. All other comparisons relate to first generation SharkBite push-to-connect products.)

I used this on the Hydrant, by installing a 5 gallon bucket of PEE gravel under the elbow, before it connected into the hydrant, then put a 5 gallon bucket with bottom cut out so hydrant handle slid through the bucket, then put another 5 gallon of PEE gravel into the bucket for the drain.

Worked well for bringing a water line from above into a pre-filter for a water softener. Saved money versus having to put in a 90 degree along with an NPT connection.

Needed to relocated a water heater tot the other side of the drain. I would have never tried to do this before these existed. This made it very easy to not only relocate my water heater but the install was very easy not having to sweat the copper. No problems whatsoever and saved me $hundreds on the relocation and install. I had to take one off (get the takeoff tool) and reinstall and still had no problems or leaks. I do recommend using the depth gauge tool for peace of mind on the connection to ensure the pipe is seated properly in the fitting
