SharkBite Max push-to-connect fittings allow you make pipe connections with half the insertion effort while withstanding double the burst pressure. Featuring a newly designed stainless-steel retainer, SharkBite Max delivers additional strength and durability while providing a 250-psi pressure rating. The re-engineered body allows you to insert the pipe using less effort and doesn’t require a PEX tube liner. No soldering, clamps, unions, glue, or special tools are required for installation. They are the fastest way to connect PEX, copper, CPVC, PE-RT and HDPE pipe. The fitting can be rotated after installation for quick adjustments, and removing the fitting is just as fast with a disconnect tool, allowing fittings and valves to be changed or reused. I’m a General Contractor and every chance I get to, I use sharkbites. Cut your pex, copper, etc., just push fit and go. It couldn’t be easier. I recommend buying the removal tool just in case you have to take it off and make adjustments.

While replacing our old tub & shower fixtures I used this type SharkBite 90 degree drop ear during the installation of the new fixture. Not having to use solder/sweat type fittings made the use of the SharkBite more efficient and leak free.

Sturdy 90 with a sharkbite connection. I used these for my connection from pex pipe to three body spray jets in my shower and another for a shower can. They work as easily as all other sharkbite fittings and they have three sturdy screw mounting holes to secure a large shower can rain head with a 15” shower arm. Highly recommended but they are not cheap.

I had one of these fail in my shower and replaced it with the same thing. My installation was with PEX but it should work with any half inch pipe.
