SharkBite Max push-to-connect fittings allow you make pipe connections with half the insertion effort while withstanding double the burst pressure. Featuring a newly designed stainless-steel retainer, SharkBite Max delivers additional strength and durability while providing a 250-psi pressure rating. The re-engineered body allows you to insert the pipe using less effort and doesn’t require a PEX tube liner. No soldering, clamps, unions, glue, or special tools are required for installation. They are the fastest way to connect PEX, copper, CPVC, PE-RT and HDPE pipe. The fitting can be rotated after installation for quick adjustments, and removing the fitting is just as fast with a disconnect tool, allowing fittings and valves to be changed or reused. Water heater replacement. Chose Sharkbite and have learned that it is beyond good…it is UNBELIEVABLY GOOD! And even an idiot can put this stuff together. If at all possible, I will NEVER sweat copper again. Cheap? No…but worth every penny.

Press on fittings wear out faster than crimped fittings. Sometimes, you have to use what’s available.
